There is now a common consensus within the scientific community, all over the world, that through burning fossil fuels and denigrating the environment, global warming can no longer be debated. It's here and climate change is demanding our attention. Discuss global warming, climate change and general energy concerns here.

Solar energy is the new oil. You heard it on We're Green first! As the world faces climate change and global warming, solar power is set to become and reign as the heavyweight champion of the energy world!

Wind power is arguably one if the most controversial green energy alternatives. Some say that wind turbines are big and ugly, and don't generate nearly enough energy to make it worth while. Some argue that they endanger birds and ruin the aesthetics of a landscape. However, so do hurricanes, tornado's and mass floods. We at We're Green think wind power is OK -- discuss wind power and systems here.

Micro Hydro Power, although not the most common alternative energy resource, is a very practical source of free energy. Admittedly, you'll need some running or flowing water to make use of this, but even a small micro hydro power system can generate a very useful amount of energy. Discuss micro hydro power systems and hydro power in general here.

The new millennium didn't just bring global warming and disasters. Look on the bright side! We've also come a long way in technology, and if we use our heads we can give earth a break and adopt new and exciting green technologies for every day living. Discuss green technology, green technology applications and the future of green technology here.

Alternative energy and green concepts aren't just useful in our fight against climate change. Green living doesn't have anything do with mirrored sunglasses, sandals and headbands. Green living is for the new millennium. It's fun and exciting, and will soon be entwined so tightly into our daily lives that no one will even consider green being "green" -- it will just be the way it is: every day life. Discuss green living concepts here.

We used to construct buildings out of asbestos and lead paint (duh).. But these days we build passive solar houses that utilize glass, the sun, wind and water saving techniques. Finally, we're starting to use our brains (yay).. Building eco-friendly homes and buildings can save a small fortune in energy bills, but are also easier on the environment and highly fashionable. Discuss green building and construction here.

Is it just us here at We're Green, or is it disturbing to you also, that in the year 2006 we're still driving around in cars that are over-glorified T-Model Fords? What is it with the combustion engine? Why are we still driving around in contraptions that run on purified, black crud? Hello? It's called FUEL CELLS! Discuss fuel cells and hydrogen technology here.

The concept of "green realestate" is becoming more and more common. Before you purchase that plot of land, did you stop to consider that if it has a running stream, you could use micro hydro power? Did you do an research to find out if the area will provide enough wind for a wind turbine? Is it a sunny area? Or, is it cold, wet, snowy, windless and overcast 365 days a year? In the not too distant future, these attributes will become a major factor towards the price of your land!
